From the H. L. Hunley to ironclads and everything in between
Did Lieutenant F. J. Higginson sink the Hunley? The Lieutenant took a rifle and proceeded to the stern and depending on how far he went to the rear he would be the only one capable of delivering the fatal shot. The other crew members were firing at the starboard side of the Hunley. The orange area shows the best aim point.
